Which grading is most important for a diamond - colour, clarity, cut or carat?Updated 2 months ago
Each diamond shape will have slightly different characteristics that are important to consider, to help ensure you achieve a stone that is both high-quality, and of course, beautiful to look at too.
For most stones it is important to consider each of the 4 C’s in conjunction with each other, as they each play a part in contributing to a beautiful, quality stone.
However for some diamond shapes you may need to pay more attention to certain gradings over others. For example, the step-cut nature of emerald diamonds means that the clarity grading can be far more important, than it would be in brilliant cut stones such as ovals or rounds.
