What is a spacer ring?Updated 6 days ago
A spacer ring is a band worn between two rings - usually an engagement ring and a diamond wedding band - to create space for stacking and to prevent rubbing.
Diamonds are significantly harder than gold, and anywhere they come into contact can damage the ring or prongs themselves.
Many ring designs can act as a spacer, however they are usually more metal-heavy designs. Their width is important, as this will determine if the diamond wedding band is separated enough from your engagement ring to avoid contact.
Determining whether you need a spacer ring will depend on the design and height of your own unique engagement ring, combined with the specific design you intend to stack it with.
The best way to determine whether you require a spacer is to try ring combinations on in person. Visit us to try our full wedding band collections.
Begin by looking at the height of your engagement ring, including the side profile. Pay close attention to the angles of your prongs and setting, and consider where any diamonds or gemstones may touch any metal part of your engagement ring.

Without trying on our designs in person, unfortunately we will not be able to guarantee whether you do or don't require a spacer ring. However our design consultants are happy to give advice to assist in your choice.
